How does Bust-a-Move, in which action depends on color matching, translate to a fairly low resolution monochrome display? Not very well. When they run out of three colors, the other bubbles have patterns and designs on them. Even playing on a Super Gameboy connected to TV, by the fourth level it's hard to tell them all apart reliably. The rest of the graphics and the sound are done better. Within the constraints of the Gameboy's abilities I think they did the best job possible. The simple controls work perfectly. But this game is only for Puzzle Bobble fanatics and collectors. It's probably the worst version ever made in the series. The very nature of the game makes it a poor choice for the platform.
