The quintessential double-barrel action game, Robotron looks and sounds a lot like the arcade game on the Apple II, but as often happens with home console ports of Robotron, the control scheme loses something in the translation. You have two options: either use the joystick, which allows you to fire only in the direction you're running, or use the keyboard, which relies on two clusters of non-configurable keys to control running and firing. While this control layout is more accurate in terms of replicating the arcade game's double-joystick action, remembering the keys (and more importantly, hitting the right keys without taking your eyes off the screen and getting pulverized by the nearest Hulk) is a major headache. If you can overlook the control difficulties, Robotron for the Apple II is a nice home version of the classic Williams blast-fest.
