Awesome game! The menu has scenes in the background from all the movies, the authenticity goes into the ring design/ background, many more fighters to choose from, characters to fight as, and the famous music score comes on when the opponent is close to being knocked down, or vice versa. Graphics are pretty decent for a 2004 PS2 game. Only complaints would be the fact that no special effects, or movie footage (after the classic fights), and you aren’t able to simply unlock all the fighters, venues, videos, or trailers after completing career mode. You have to buy everything with the money you gain from career mode., and I do mean everything! That is a huge letdown, on this otherwise, amazing game! Unlike, the previous ROCKY game where everything was unlocked, upon completion. I’d recommend that you save, save, and save. At least, until you have enough $ for everything. Read full review

I bought this video game for my son because he recently watched all of the Rocky movies and loved them. He loves this game! I like it because while it is a boxing game, I feel that it is rated appropriately. He likes it because he can play as Rocky Balboa, Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang or Ivan Draggo and it seems that the other list of competitors is endless. There is really nothing that either of us dislike about this game.
Follow the characters of the Rocky movie series from their beginnings. The game has great variety, playability and is challenging enough to enjoy the gaming experience,. Its an interesting interpretation of the characters which adds to the content of one of my favourite movie series.
This is one of the best boxing games I have played. I played "Nintendo's super punch out" back in the olden days when graphics were 256 x 224 and 2D! This is leap years from that but just as fun! Tha graphics are good and I loved being Mr. T and the rest of the characters from the Rocky movies! I played it from start to finish! Give it a try! Rock-o!!
This game reminds me of all the Rocky movies so much because it has actually footage from the five movies. You can choose the career paths of Rocky Balboa, Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, and Ivan Drago. It also has all of the training sequences and some of the music from each of these movies as well. This game is a must for hardcore Rocky fans!!!
