One of the more basic video games ever released in terms of audio/visual effects, Capture, aka Flag Capture, is a virtual rendition of the old children's game, capture the flag. The playfield is a simple nine by seven grid of squares, and each player controls a stick figure. Behind each square lies a distance or direction clue or the coveted flag. Or, there could be a deadly bomb. Depending on the option selected, the object in the game is to move your man as quickly as possible or using the least number of clues to the square hiding the flag. This title won't capture the fancy of many adults, but elementary school-age kids will enjoy the hunt, at least to a degree, in the various two-player modes. As a plus, the game is semi-educational as it requires the use of logic, memory, and deductive reasoning skills in order to succeed.
