This is a great Turbografx-16 shooter, they sure knew and loved their shooters. Graphics are great for the time period, the colours are bright and vibrant, the controls are really nice and smooth. I have one complaint: it is really, really hard. I thought R-Type was the hardest Turbografx-16 shooter, I was wrong, Sidearms is much more difficult. If you want more than a challenge and enjoy your character dying over and over and over again then this game for you.

This is one of the best side scrolling shooters to come from the 80's. I don't know how many quarters i spent in this machine when I was a kid but I could have finished flight school with the dough. This game was available for several home systems but IMHO the Turbografx-16 version is the best one available. The graphics and sound are spot on from the coin-op version. This game is fun for all and easy to pick-up, but difficult to beat. Guaranteed hours of fun.

This is an aracde port to the TG16, a port that very few would remember because it was released in the days long ago. Very challenging side scrolling fun shooter.
