This is a good Sudoku game and has some pros and cons that I consider important whenever you are considering buying the game, like any other game on the market. Pros: * Tells you when you have put all the digits of the same number, for example: all the 9's, all the 1's, etc. * The row, column, and square you are in are highlighted. * Hundreds of games in three level of skill, for you pleasure. Cons: * Does not let you know if you wrote a wrong number. * You cannot write the number in the square. Instead you have to the numeric keypad and choose a number. This may cause you to lose valuable time. * The music is too monotonous and therefore you find yourself putting mute on the speakers. Bottom Line: This is a great game for the price and for those persons that cannot live without doing a Sudoku game a day like myself.Read full review
I had bought another sudoku game for Nintendo DS and was not happy with it at all. No way to mark "hints". But Sudoku Gridmaster is so much better! Tap a number and all occurrences of that number in the puzzle highlight. You can also highlight rows, columns, and blocks. You can put "hint" numbers in the corners to keep track of possibilities. If I were to improve this game in any way, I'd make it so that once a number is put in a square, the "hint" numbers in that row and column automatically erase. I'd also change the moving background (if there's a way to turn it off, I can't figure it out). Overall I'm very happy with this game.
I bought this because I thoroughly enjoy Sodoku and this is a good version of it. The interface is clear but not as simple as using a touch sensitive screen on an iPad or Android phone. You will need to use the centre pad to jump from one square to the next to select it and then choose the number. No option of using notes which is a handy feature on other similar games. Overall I like this game and it is one I use frequently.
The reason I decided to buy this game was first because of Brain Age DS. When I was playing the sudoko part of that game I realized that playing sudoko was a heck of a lot more fun to play on a DS system... rather that and paper! So I looked online and found this game which was also for the DS...SUDOKO GRIDMASTER...I also found out that this wonderful game is not just for advance people, It's for EVERYONE!!! There is four different levels of difficulty...from beginners to pros. The SUDOKO GRIDMASTER game was designed with help by the people who started sudoko. They were the ones that hand picked the 400+ sudoko puzzles in this game! wow. By the way... if you are just starting to learn sudoko, this game is the perfect game to start you on the tips, tricks, and instructions to play sudoko. So I hope thay my review has secured your decision to buy the DS game... SUDOKO GRIDMASTER!!!Read full review
I purchased Sudoku for my DS as I fell in love with Sudodu (what little there was) on one of my other DS games. I was excited to find out there was a DS game which was only Sudoku. It is easy to use and it is what I do to relax.
