Conflict: Desert Storm II -- Back to Baghdad is set one year after the events introduced in 2002's Conflict: Desert Storm. The game's focus is on the SAS and Delta Force teams operating in and around Iraq during the time of the Gulf War. Players must lead a squad of soldiers charged with the task of defending Kuwait against the Iraqi invasion. Players will once again need to balance the need for action against the need for survival in a series of 10 missions designed to fulfill operation objectives.
Back to Baghdad takes players further into Kuwait as they try to neutralize scud missile installations, prevent the use of chemical weapons, free prisoners of war, and oust Hussein's Republican Guard from their entrenched position within Kuwait City. Each SAS and Delta Force squad consists of a team leader, combat engineer, sniper, and heavy weapons specialist. Players can freely switch between squad mates as well as issue orders for the team to follow. More equipment, weapons, and vehicle options are available to help players attain their goals.
Desert Strom II is a great shooter game for any system. The controls for it are great and it makes a awesome multiplayer game. In the multiplayer you do the same mission one single player but, not with friends. In Desert Storm II you are one of four soldiers that take on many enemy soldiers. One other cool thing that you can do in this game is you can switch between characters. The only thing that is not good about this game is that you can't pick up fallen enemy's weapons, making ammo hard to come by. Also the graphics aren't the best but, they are O.K. So I would say that is you are into military shooter games you should get this game.
This game is very fun to play, but frustrating also. You have full control of 4 marines and can "hot swap" between them at any time, that's the fun part. The frustrating part comes when you need to command all of them at oncce. They are not smart enough to take cover when a tank rolls up, and if you are not quick enough, the whole group will get balsted. All in all I give this game an 8 out of 10.
This is a really fun game. However, the first installment CDS-1 is still the better of the two. This game felt like a warmed over version of the other and it only has 10 missions, whereas the original had 16. If it it's a choice bw CDS 1 or 2 I would go with 1 no doubts..
