The game is fun and addicting with being able to raise your own Digimon. The fact that you can raise two of them makes it even more fun as you can see and raise two different Digimon with each life cycle. The game is a lot easier to understand, it's easier to manipulate the Digivolutions than it was in the original Digimon World. There is a lot of backtracking in the game. Getting Digimon to join the city will often involve fetch quests to make you go from one place to another and back again to complete it. There are difficulty spikes that can often surprise you in a bad way. However, once you raise your Digimon partners high enough, the game will start to feel too easy. It's a great game if you want to spend a lot of time to raise new Digimon. It's perfect for those who really enjoyed Digimon World and want a newer, fresher experience of similar gameplay.Read full review

I'm a huge fan of the Digimon franchise, but this game was a complete disappointment. Not only is the storyline bad, but you can only have two digimon with you at the same time, it's difficult to determine what they will evolve into, and the digimon die periodically for what seems to be no reason at all. I would have given this game a 0/5 stars if I could have.

I read a ton of reviews before I finally bought this game. I was expecting maybe a couple days worth of play before it got old or boring - was I surprised to find out this game freaking ROCKS! Dont listen to all the bad reviews out there! If you are a fan of any actual digimon world game, you will LOVE this game. Yes, its almost like a remastered version of digimon world 1, however you do have more control over what your digimon do in battle (given a few factors like discipline and status ailments currently or not currently applied to your digimon). If you are hunting for trophies - this game will easily eat 100+ hours to platinum. The life cycle of the digimon adds something to this game thats missing in most newer games these days - appreciation for your accomplishment. Granted, to just get a mega its not THAT hard later in the game, but at first you could play for a few days without even getting an ultimate. Later on in the game you can unlock skills to extend your digimons life cycle and increasing the time-frame to achieve required stats to digivolve or find an evolution item to force a digivolution. Again - if you like any true digimon world games - BUY THIS ONE. You'll be super happy you did!Read full review

The product was as described and works perfectly. It was a great deal! The game is just as fun as i remember it and I'd say it's at least a 7or8/10 game!

It isn't as hard as the ps1 digimon world. Which I like! Concept is just like the original. Story is interesting and gameplay feels nice. No need to worry about purchasing the original version unless you just want to know who mameo is in this story. Which is just the character you play as in the ps1.
