This game is a dragonball fan’s dream come true as it boasts a stunning roster of over 150 available fighters, competing in planet shattering battles over a variety of stages. Even for those who scoff at the idea of dragonball will be compelled by the games fun fighting style. The controls are relatively intuitive and the special moves are very true to the show. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 has a very simple control layout; A to punch, B for ki blasts, C and Z to fly up and down. Combos are relatively easy to pull off and the flashy special attacks are performed by replicating the show’s counterpart with the wiimote. For example, to do a kamehameha, you perform the motions of a kamehameha with the wiimote while holding left on the d-pad. While this may seem like a catastrophic decision, the results end up being much funner and less gimmicky than you might expect from a licensed Wii fighting game. The graphics are great especially considering that the game was co-developed for both the wii and ps2, and it has a very DBZ feel. Sound effects are a bit grainy but still set the tone nicely. The funimation cast appears to represent the english dub and do a good job at representing the characters. While it is nice to have an english voice cast, the original japanese cast is optional if you want that authentic DBZ feel. Overall this game’s a fun experience for fighting game enthusiasts, and a must buy for dragonball fans around the globe.Read full review

Easily one of the best DBZ games; huge character roster, fun head to head gameplay. Unfortunately, i cannot seem to finish more than 2 matches before the game crashes with the disc becoming unreadable, even after thoroughly cleaning it with windex. A quick reset can get it back working for a game or two but this used copy in particular makes it very tricky to progress toward unlocking the game's massive list of characters.

ok well this game will be very very enjoyable if you are a fan of the series and have grown up with it, i watched this show for years so i have the feeling im obligated to get every game that comes out to see if there will be one that actually rivals the action in the series and also takes advantage of the good long storyline, and this game does a decent job, the fighting is pretty fast paced and some animations are cool, also the wii controls took some getting used to but once you do its a blast, to unleash a kamehameha you actually have to do a kamehameha, so sometimes it can make you feel weird, but also that can suck you into the gameplay very well. Also with a HUGE amount of playable charecters there is everyone you would ever wish to play as on this game, so if your a fan of the series i would say buy for sure, but if your just a fighting game fan, its decent, not fantastic.. but decentRead full review
This is the second DragonBall Z game for Wii. The game is fun to play but too short. I personally like to play only the story mode of the game but the story mode of the game is really way too short. It took me only 5 hours to complete the story mode of the game. In this game, you get to play all the way up to Dragonball GT and use GT character to fight. This is also why the story mode is shorten alot. When you play the game, you can choose to fight your own way or fight as the story goes. You do it by pressing "1" (when is showes up). Usually it is harder to play by your own way because your charcter might be weaker than opponent. However in some cases, you can just defeat the opponent by just casting ultimate move. Now pros and cons of the game, Pros 1.) Get to use GT character 2.) New way to cast ultimate 3.) More game modes 4.) Alot more new character 5.) Choose your path when you play story mode Cons 1.) Some character still have the same old move 2.) Short story modeRead full review
This has gotta be the best Dragon Ball game I've ever played on an objective standpoint. The graphics are amazing for it's time (PS2/Wii era) and it's rich in content, featuring many different modes and playable characters from the Original Dragon Ball up to GT. For 2007 that's pretty amazing because not many Dragon Ball games do this, they just do Z and sometimes GT which is annoying. The gameplay is very fun albiet difficult sometimes, it has many layers of skills and combos. This is the definitive Dragon Ball game experience and I highly recommend it to fans of all kinds!
