I got this game for free as a part of a buy two get one free deal... to be honest, i wish i had goten something els. At first the game seemed the ideal choice. Offering "enhanced music and sound effects" and "unique blend of exploration and action rewards", this game makes you feel like your making a good choice. Dont be fooled! The game combines mediocre graphics, even for the time, with a fairly shoddy storyline that does not hold a persons attention. Combine this with unbelievably stupid situations, and you get an all around terrible game. One situation that sticks out in my mind happened towards the beginning of the game, when your hapless sidekcik is attacked by nameless purple bobls. He appears to be purposely avoiding shooting them. In, fact he shoots everything but the blobs, in possibly the worst attempt at survival I have ever seen. Survival horror games are supposed to be difficult. However, a game can achieve a certain level of difficulty without making the controls so jerky and unresponsive that it becomes difficult to perform basic actions. Overall, I would recommend this game only to someone who is a diehard fan of survival horror, or someone that wants a good laugh, and enjoys wasting money.Read full review

When i bought this item, i was looking for a new game in which i could imagine me in the game as the shooter... i was very impressed with my last game "black" and expected close to the same game quality. This game "Extermination" does have a good plot, and does suck you in to the game but not like i was expecting. The quality was fair, and for a ps2 game, it is possible for better video quality. Game play was easy to grasp, (controls, menus, ect.) The single most thing that i did not like about it was the video quality. but that is just me, and like i said before, i have not played the whole thing. Other than that, I do like it, and am glad that i bought it. good game for a price of $7-$15 max. *average rating for me. thanks for reading.
This game to me feels like Dino Crisis meets Resident Evil 2 with unbelievable graphics and a really neat sound package. And that kicks A X's 2 in my book. I've played just about every survival horror game ever made and EXTERMINATION was a very fun and fairly easy game. Super fast loading times makes the experience flow nicely. This is a welcome addition to my personal PS2 portfolio.
It is a great game, challenging, just wish it was a little longer. A sequel to it would be great.
