Back in the old school days, a great story line was essential to an RPG. Not so much anymore. That is why the TRAILS OF COLD STEEL series stands out. One of the most compelling & continuing story lines ever to grace an RPG. You get to know a myriad of characters intimately. The graphics are not anything to marvel at, but it is the story and the fun turn-based combat, that puts you deep into the world of Erebonia. Be prepared for a leisurely paced game, with tons of spoken dialogue. But, how else to get to know all the characters. It boasts the best written script of any RPG, and I have been playing them since the 80's. There are 3 installments so far, with the 4th coming this Autumn. I can't wait! I am old school, and prefer a great turn-based RPG over mindless hack N slash any day. You will find a better price for this game on the 'other' online store. Experience the world of Erebonia, with it's commoners and nobles. Its twists and turns in the story, and it's wonderful characters. Read full review
