NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup is honestly one of if not the best NASCAR videogame experiences I've ever had, as someone who's played every game from NASCAR 08 to NASCAR 21: Ignition. The Modified Tour is an amazing option, there are over a dozen fantasy tracks, from the Daytona Infield to Old Spice Raceway, each more exciting than the last. The career mode is by far the most immersive I've ever played, and you truly rise the ranks like the NASCAR stars of the day did. While the roster may be slim in all four series, leading to many fantasy drivers, it adds challenge to the game to try to get every Thunder Plate and unlock every driver (if you're impatient, just name your driver Open Sesame. Trust me). I bought this game because Ross Chastain said it inspired him to do his viral "Hail Melon" move, and it's probably the best choice I've made in a NASCAR videogame. (P.S.: If you don't have a GameCube, this game, like all other GameCube games, is compatible with the RVL-001 Nintendo Wii (any Wii from 2006-2010). The reason why I bought this game is cause I recently went to Dave & Busters Arcade and played their Nascar Game with the Chair and Steering Wheel. I fell in love. So I decided to try out this game hoping for the best. I like it!!! It has many different tracks, Which is nice. This is a keeper.
This is the game that Ross Chastain played as a kid and learned the fantastic move he pulled off at Martinsville speedway. I dont currently own it but i have played it before, Good game.
