I had been a fan of the Romance of The Three Kingdoms series since 2003, and after some time on ebay looking at getting the 9th game in that series i came to find this in the suggestions at the bottom of the screen after four "lengthy" minutes of research i concluded i should try this game out. I am happy to say that this game suprised the heck out of me. for every thing i do not like about this game (namely not being able to make your own force, the inflexibility in minor areas of the gamplay and the need to continuously pay your officers absurd amounts of money.) I found alot to enjoy. Engaging technology enhancements and the extreme depth of strategy and gameplay time. you could in effect play this one game and get at the very least 300+ hours of enjoyment playing as the nearly 50 clans that you can take command of, and conquer Japan. In all seriousness if you even kinda like strategy games,if you have interest in the warring states period of Japan, or if you can't afford a PC, get this game.Read full review
I used to always play this game on my virtual download on the PlayStation 3 but after the PlayStation store went down I finally decided to pony up the money and get a physical copy so I can use it on my PlayStation 2 I do not regret it

I loved the original game on NES, and have always liked the complex strategy games that Koei produces. This game is more complex than the original, but again, that's what I was looking for. It also has nice graphics (for PS2), a good story line, and has a tutorial that was helpful in me getting the hang of the flow of the game. It has the dual planning phase/active phase concept, similar to P.T.O. II from SNES. Overall, if you enjoy the complex strategy games Koei makes, you'll like this one too. If you want to turn on a game and not have to think, go with something else.
This game was a total change from Rise to Power. The controls and game play were very difficult to play. I have been an avid Nobunaga fan from the beginning and own every Nobunaga game except for the original NES version. This game was nothing like i expected. I was very dissapointed with it and sold my copy within a week of purchasing it. What mad me so mad about the game was that it seemed no matter who you were everyone was out to get you. Now i know thats the point but this was overkill. You dont really get a chance to get your feet wet before someone is knocking down your door. Buyer Beware.
