I have tried all empires games and this takes the cake for an empires game *up to its point in time*. I havent played 7,8,or 9 empires. The only way this title isn't superior to DW6 empires is that the camera is way too close. I canna see. Kind of important but thats it. Its a great feeling of being in feudal Japan. You choose from starting scenarios, whereby you are starting in a predetermined region and the alliances are all set up. There are approx 5 starting setups. I dont think it has a random empire layout like 6 does. From here you get invaded, attack jointly, defend jointly and all dat jazz.

Fun game for casual gamers, like myself and advanced gamers like my brother. The characters don't have much personalizing that can be done, but that's not really where the fun is. The fun, dare I say, is on the battlefeild. With many different difficulties and ways to play this is a game that's hard to get tired of. Lots of great weapons, good voice acting and smooth gameplay, I really enjoy this game and reccomend it for pretty much everyone that likes a little action in their gaming mixed with a bit of strategy and skill. -Lexie Di
First off, this game is a basic hack n' slash game which takes Samurai Warriors 2 and lets you play in an environment where it is necessary to use a bit of strategy. The game itself is relatively fun and if you have enjoyed past enstallments of Samurai Warriors, or have tried the Empires spin on the Dynasty Warriors series, it's very similar only with different characters. The game itself is alright, and the character creation which was added into it could have been done much better. Overall the game is worth a few hours of fun, but definately isn't the best thing out there.
I love these games, hack and slash it may be at times but you can still go more in depth than that. empire mode can last for quite a while and is never the same thing twice. with up to about 400 playable characters makes it also fun to change it up a bit each play time. the character customization is nice but would have been better to have it up to xbox 360 standards if you know what i mean, nevertheless it adds more to the game. overall, i would say if you like this genre of game and play style, i would say BUY :) ~E
If you enjoy playing Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires, then you will definitely enjoy playing Samurai Warriors 2: Empires. The game is fun to play, at first, but it does get repetitive. The missionary missions that you have to go on and the assignments get repeated, if you decide to start another battle. All in all, it's a great game. I enjoy playing it.
