I cannot say enough about this game, it has everything with variety. The concept itself is great -- the wizard Dana has to create blocks and collect items and destroy enemies along the way to clear each room. The challenge is just right as well, not too hard or too easy. This sequel to Solomon's Key has much more than its big brother. Unfortunately, the NES game had clunky controls (i.e., having to press Up in order to jump) so it was somehow corrected here. The soundtrack is good but rather repetitive, it only changes in certain levels (including the hidden rooms and the Solomon levels). My only real complaint on this game was that it's simply not long enough! 100 rooms would have been great but hey you can only fit so much into a Gameboy game. Although I appreciate that there was another NES sequel -- Fire 'N' Ice -- they should really update this wonderful game on the Nintendo 3DS that was just released.Read full review
