I love the Style savvy series, I remember playing Style savvy on my crappy Mario ds as a child. I saved that game as nostalgia. Kind of ignoring it because I have a 3ds with style savvy transetter and fashion forward. I gave this game and my old ds to my friends daughter for Christmas but her grandmother sold it for drugs. So I wanted to buy a new one and for 4$ I couldn’t pass it up! It came nicely packaged and it works!! For 4$ to relive my childhood is a great price!!! 🎮

This is a great game! It's a fun little shop management game with a fashion twist. The game is from 2007, so the fashion is really nostalgic for me. It's an easy game to put up and pick down whenever I feel like it. The story is pretty simple to crack, but I'm playing it more for the shop management aspect, so that doesn't bother me. All and all, it's cute and low pressure. I'm glad I picked it up!

This game is the best!!! I rarely buy games new because I hate paying full price....but this game sounded like so much fun and had such high reviews....that I gave in and bought it. Soooooooo glad I did!!!! This is my new favorite game. You start off creating your character (name, look, outfit) and then you start working at a local boutique. You assist incoming customers with their search for the perfect shirt, skirt, pants, accessories, shoes, dress.....whatever they want. They tell you what they are looking for, and then you look through the store inventory to see if you can find the item. The customer never tells you what color or design they are looking for......it's up to you to look at the way the customer is dressed and then pick out a style YOU think they would like. When looking at the clothes they are wearing, it helps to note their color choices, pattern (plaid maybe?), short vs. long skirts.....that sort of thing. If you THINK you have an item they would like, you can choose to have them LOOK at the item BEFORE trying it on. If they don't like your item.....you have 2 more chances to find them something they'd like before they tell you to just bring something to the dressing room. OR if you think you have THE PERFECT item that they'll want......send them straight to the dressing room to try it on. If they love it....they will almost always buy more stuff. If they DON'T love it....then you have just lost that sale and the customer leaves. After a while, you are given the opportunity to manage your own boutique (choosing the store design, name, music ). At that point, you are no longer just a sales person, you are also a buyer. You'll need to periodically go to the buyer's warehouse to order clothes from various clothing vendors. One vendor specializes in sport clothing, another has goth gear, another has more earthy clothing, etc. I think there are 12+ vendors and MANY MANY clothes and accessories to choose from.....all vary in color and price or style. You can only have a certain # of styles in your store inventory (you can increase the # during the course of the game) so you will have to make choices and spend your $ wisely....as you will not be able to buy EVERY item you want. You also are responsible for promotion at your store.....which means designing "looks" for the window displays and creating flyers and advertisements for mailing. You can also choose to have store wide sales to draw in more customers. If (for example) you choose to advertise a certain pair of jeans in your flyer.....you need to make sure you have enough on hand if a few people show up looking for them. Hopefully the public will LIKE what you put in the flyer....or you could get stuck with a lot of unwanted jeans in your inventory. While working, you will meet a hair-stylist and a cosmetician who have opened their shops near your store. If you want to take a break from the customers at your store....you can go get your hair done or you can go to the make-up store and buy some stuff for yourself. Anything you buy will show up in your make-up case at your apartment. Fun fun fun!!! And then there are the fashion shows.....you compete against other shop owners for prizes and recognition. This game is a business sims type of game.....very in-depth....and lots of fun. Of all the fashion based DS games that I've played....this is the best!! Worth paying full price for if, like me.....you gotta have it!!!Read full review
My 8 yrs daughter, Keaton LOVES this game. I got this game for her when she was 6yrs old (Christmas 2009). She saw the Style Savvy commercial, and ask Santa for it. It is Dec 2011, and this is still one of her best, and most played with games. Actually, I purchased it twice because the first one got damaged by accident, and she wouldn't stop bugging me to replace it. I read several reviews before deciding to buy it. Most of the reviews said that they couldn't put it down and played it well into the night....the funny thing was many of those reviews were from people 30 plus yrs old. I am not an electronics game kind of person, so that really threw me for a loop. When she first got it, I sat with her to help figure out how to play the game. I quickly realized that I wanted to play the game as much as she did. Style Savvy will bring the fashion designer (wannabe)out of anyone who touches it. I found myself waiting for Keaton to go to bed, so I could play with it all to myself...I was so embarrassed to be playing, and thoroughly enjoying this game (my guilty pleasure!!) The graphics are great, very real and extremely fashionable. So many combinations of styles to choose and create. I've recommended this game to several of my friends for their daughters, and they were all extremely pleased with it. They've even admitted to playing with it when their kids go to bed as well!! STYLE SAVVY IS AWESOME...GET THIS GAME!!! P.S. I'm 40 something, and I still like playing it :))Read full review
my 12 year old daughter loves it! apparently this gamne is hard to obtain due to its age of being 4 years old! jeeeesh the world went and got in such a hurry that 4 years old makes it obselete?!?!?!?. in my day our best toy was when a neighbor got a new refridgerator and we made a fort out of the box, but i digress. my daughter loves it, says it is alot of fun, very girly stuff so i am happy it makes her happy. there is another "take care of a baby" game i like as it teaches responsibility and nuturing of an computerized baby. she loves that as well, sorry can't remember the name of it. but style savvy is great for aspiring fashion designers and girl fun. i got it from a great seller at reasonable cost. others wanted much more because it has been discontinued by nintendo but the seller i got it from did not price gouge.Read full review
