For a portable sports game, it is pretty realistic. If you like tennis video games, this will probably not be an exception. If you've played Top Spin/Top Spin 2, then you'll be fairly familiar with this game. -Gameplay: The game plays very much like its stationary console counterparts. At least as far as playing an actual tennis match. In fact the tennis matches are what this game concentrates on. The create a player is a rather limited feature. It gives you just enough options to create your own/custom player. However, once you've created a player, you are allowed a lot of freedom in developing the skill of your player. Also, the in-game training/practice games make a big difference in learning and getting better at the game. The tennis itself is really quite enjoyable. I do wish there was a doubles gameplay setting though. -Controls: If you've never played Top Spin (2), then it might take you a little more time to get used to the controls. They're not completely intuitive, but they're not hard to get used to. There's definitely wide variety of shot selection, even moreso for a portable console. There is a potential to get frustrated with the controls and the game, but I think that just goes with the game of tennis. -Graphics: Again for a portable console, the graphics are great. You get two different viewing/zoom options for playing matches; a zoomed out mode and a behind your player mode. It's up to you how you like playing the game. Some people that have tried out my game like the zoomed out mode because it's easier to see the game as a whole, but the behind the player mode is a lot more dynamic and realistic to watch and play as the player. All in all, I'm happy with the game. I love the game of tennis, and I've found Top Spin/Top Spin 2 to be well made tennis games. I know I enjoy the Top Spin games more than the Virtua Tennis games.Read full review
