I'm a big fan of RPG's (such as Baldur's Gate, Diablo, etc...) and this game does a great attempt at achieving the same kind of storyline for the PSP. I just finished it and boy, let me tell ya', it's a long game. It's your typical RPG game with characters, quests, items, and experience points. I found that the flow wasn't quite yet there. It seemed like all of the quests were just patched here and there throughout the game, with the ending a little disappointing. With that being said, it's a great addictive game, definately worth the money. I think the series will only get better from here on out, with the second one coming out soon (This month in fact, March 06). If you own a PSP & love Fantasy RPGs, first of, there's not much out there right now but this title is definately worth the money. You'll get many hours out of it. :)Read full review
Remember Gauntlet, the 4 person arcade game? You'd move around rooms killing monsters, collecting food and health to keep going? This is a lot like that, with more complexity, a story line and graphics that are much more realistic. This is a fun game, one that I had somehow missed years ago yet recently discovered for my now vintage PSP 1000. For being released a little more than 10 years ago the graphics and gameplay hold up really well.

Nice graphics, nice movement and not so hard to play. This game i can say, is fun...for beginners, when you start to create a character the game just stop evolve, the same enemys, the same weapons and cloths, armors, everything stop. But is a good game, you gonna have fun with all the characters because all of them have their powers and their special weapons, the magic is very fun and the graphics and view position are great. I'm gonna buy the sequel for sure.
Although it is subject to the same criticisms of most hack and slash titles, this does give you plenty of gameplay and lots of magic/weapon/enhancement combinations from which to choose. Graphics are decent, audio is fine. Load times are a bit too long and are required everytime you move from one level to the next or one land to the next. The wireless team play is nice, but there is no game-sharing so each player must have their own copy of the game. Overall, this is a fun game and kind of addictive, I can't wait to play the sequel!
In the tradition of old school games like "GAUNTLET",Sony has given PSP owners a lot of game to sink there teeth into. With over 100 levels and over 100 unique monsters, this game keeps on where others get played out. This original fantasy adventure lets you choose between 4 different character classes to customize like a true RPG, then you can connect to others via the ad-hoc feature for even more fun. I purchased 2 PSPs for my son and I to play games just like this. The action changes difficulty as you grow in power and ability so it keeps you on your toes, even if you want to go back for some treasure seeking in one of the fantastic levels you have already gone to. This is truly the original sandbox game for the PSP! Long befor GTA showed the world how fun a "sandbox" game can be, there was "Gauntlet", and now "UNTOLD LEGENDS" has given it to PSP owners. The guide from PRIMA tells me this game has a random map generator so it was unable to give maps of all the levels you encounter in this game. A real innovation if you ask me! This is a feature not found on the next PSP "UNTOLD LEGENDS" game "THE WARRIOR'S CODE". I have them both but have not finished the "BROTHERHOOD" game yet. I am on the last 15 unventured lands and it keeps me playing like no other PSP game befor it. Truly worth investing in! For the young and old alike, it is as much a family game as it is an action game! For the hack and slash fan in everyone, this one is the one to get! ONLINE_INCUBUSRead full review
