The best 2-in-1 Windows machine for productivity, with some caveats. The new Surface Pro 6 doesn't improve much on the 2017 model on the outside, but is faster (both CPU and SSD) and now has a fan-less i5, while lasting much longer on battery. Surface Pros are expensive, but portability and flexibility is unparalleled, with a good build quality while being extremely light. The entry model comes with 8 Gb of RAM which is plenty and represents the sweet point, the i7 is not much faster and considerably more expensive and more RAM is so much more expensive it is not worth the investment as that brings the price close to Surface Book levels. Still doesn't come with a keyboard, nor a pen. A keyboard is essential and some kind of dock is also useful as the surface only comes with a single USB 3.0 port, which definitely is not enough.Read full review

This was exactly what my wife wanted and I bought it for her as a Christmas gift. At first it was awesome. Now fast forward about 3.5 months and the touch screen doesn’t always work. It freezes when she’s trying to stream videos. It needs a mouse to shut it off. It works but it’s not a great touch pad device which was the main reason I bought it. Her laptop was fine but I wanted to get her something to use while sitting in bed. Live and learn. I wouldn’t buy another one.

I received it earlier than expected, and when I opened the box it looked like it was brand new with the plastic and everything on it. I noticed that it already had a screen protector on it and when I turned it on it was never wiped clean so it had all the previous owner info on it. I actually had to have an I.T. friend wipe it clean for me. Once it was factory reset. It worked fine.

I waited far too long to get a new computer. It's so fast, the screen is beautiful, I adore the face recognition as I walk away from my computer often and didn't realize how annoying it was to type in my password or code 25 times a day. The only con is the screen and keyboard are so big that it's really hard to use as a true laptop comfortably with the external mouse. I will have to invest in an extra large lap desk to use this on the couch or in bed which is rare but possible. I love the mouse! It's sleek and easy to use. Another con that comes to mind, I wish it had another USB drive. But with Bluetooth connectivity, it's livable. I love the size of the screen when I use it as a tablet. The display is crisp and easy on the eyes. I'm very happy with my purchase!
