This scanner gives very good scans for a minimal price. There is a steep learning curve for any film scanner; the Epson software is very usable but you need to experiment (there are numerous options) to get the best results. Unsharp mask function should not be used with high res film scans, for example.

Slow, but good; it makes a very clear scan but just don't expect to get your scans in a hurry. The software is a little clumsy, but most aspects of the scanning process seem to be adjustable if you are willing to spend the time experimenting with the different settings.

It is OK for the money. It does not scan 120 film (The old Instamatic cameras) correctly in "thumbnail" preview mode. It will scan and center the first image, but all the others are not centered and need to be scanned individually in "Normal" mode. Time consuming but works OK.

Have only used it for a few scans. Excellent results. Did a restoration of a very old photograph followed by some negative scans. At the highest dpi (interpolated at 12,800) i takes quite a while. Depends on what you want to do with the image. I recommend.
