About this product

Product Information

With the major success of The Sims 2, expanding the franchise to gaming consoles was the next logical step. Thus, The Sims 3 was released simultaneously for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, the Wii, and several mobile platforms four months after its PC release date. A port was even made for the 3DS in 2011.The Sims 3 for the Nintendo Wii by Electronic Arts brings the long-running franchise to the flagship games console. At its core, Sims 3 for Wii is very similar to Sims 3 for PC. You create a character, build a house, help your Sim out with romantic options, and generally guide your Sim in his or her day-to-day life. There is an enormous amount of customization for characters, from their height and weight to their hair and skin color. You can even go so far as to give them freckles, tattoos, or large muscles. A wide selection of hairstyles is also available. There is an enormous amount of available DLC for the player to enjoy that not only advances character customization, but adds swaths of new features and scenarios. The game plays out much like the previous titles, with players directing the lives of their Sims. Gamers guide them as they grow up, fall in love, get married, find employment, and generally navigate their daily lives. As the Sims carry out certain tasks, they level up their skills, which makes them more effective and offers certain in-game bonuses. Like character traits, new skills are added with various expansions. New aspects that were added to the game from previous versions include more advanced ways to interact with others both at work and at home. To advance in career or personal romantic relationships, certain objectives often have to be met. These objectives play out almost like quests to advance the life of your characters. Careers were expanded to include new options like the ability to explore a branching career. As characters advance in their careers, they make more money.Other features include seamless worlds that can be customized and even created anew with the World Builder. Like other Sims games, players have the option to purchase pre-made homes or build and design their own custom houses. There are a variety of customization options here, too. Gamers can design the lighting of their home, buy furniture in the digital store, or paint the walls and ceiling. They can also alter hundreds of other cosmetic and design features to help design a home that meets what they have been able to imagine. If you enjoyed playing The Sims for PC, then you'll have extra fun with the exclusive features found in The Sims 3 game for the Wii. Not only does this version of the game feature an all-new beach setting, but it also has new lifetime wishes. It also brings you new traits and a multiplayer mode for up to four people. The Sims 3 is a casual, non-violent game that is suitable for all ages to enjoy on the Wii, as well as the Xbox and PS3.

    AMAZING!

I’m 12 years old and I love this game so much. It is the best game I ever played. But people say PC is better so I will be looking forward to seeing how that works out. But if you never played on PC you should have a good experience with this game.(if your not having glitches btw)

  • Sims 3 is a fun game.

I like how you can go any where around the town. I like how you start as a kid and then go to an old person. I like how you can go to school. I like it most because it is like real life. What don't like is that one day you can't use the fridge and then you need to buy a new one, but you can't sell the old one. I dont like that there is a lot of houses but not very many people around. If you want to move a third time, you run into problems. It should start with babies for the start instead of 1st graders. There are no animals like dogs and cats. And I wish you could have more than 6 people.

  • Sims 3

Purchased for my daughter and she likes it. Her only comment is the graphics not as good as later editions, but she knew that and still requested this game.

  • My childhood

It’s great for a rush of nostalgia, not so great for graphics or long run of entertainment from a game...
