It performs well. One thing I don't like is that it can take a minute or more for my Win7 computers to recognize it. Windows explorer hangs while the drive's access light flashes for that long when connected with a USB 2.0 port. I assume the drive's directory is being read or indexed or whatever Windows does when you connect a USB drive. It's annoying but once it can be accessed with explorer it works well. Not an issue because I use it infrequently to save disk images and other backups. If I was plugging it in every day or multiple times during the day I'd find it very annoying having to wait a minute or more just to use it. Maybe because I'm connecting through a USB 2.0 port? My 2TB Toshiba USB 3.0 drives don't do this and connect immediately to the same ports.
