I have owned speakers from many popular names (e.g. Infinity, Athena) and they do no compare to these. The DT BP8020STs may be the very smallent towers in the line, but they pack considerable punch. The sound is crisp, warm, and the soundstage is second to none. I have the subs set at ~75% and have no need for a stand-alone subwooder. My wife also likes their size - they don't overpower the room and take up minimal square footage. I highly recommend them!

I was not expecting these speakers to sound as good as they did because they are the entry bipolar tower model. They produce huge mind blowing sound that fill up my room with sound with ease. The bass extension is balanced when set at level 6. I was torn between bookshelf and towers. Glad I went with the tower as the powered subwoofers bring these speakers into a different class. Great value. Awesome sound.

First thing I noticed was the 3 dimensional sound stage using these in stereo mode with music. Our living room is all wood planks except the ceiling is drywall, and the sound of these bipolar speakers is vivid, just amazing. They are matched with a Definitive Mythos 3 center speaker of equal quality, it's the best the class D Pioneer SC01223k has ever sounded. Bass, oh yeah, use LFE-but my AVR has 2 sub ports, maybe use a splitter cable if you don't have that option.
