Basic but works well
Only reason I didn't go 5 stars is that it comes with female inputs and outputs so I had to use 2 bbl connectors to connect to amp. Just 1 more connection to cause problems. So far it works well. Doesn't take much adjustment to overdrive your amp so make small increases. Included 2 screws which I assume were for mounting however the unit has no holes or tabs to use for that purpose. Something is not Right!!!
The Item that I received looks like but not the same. The PAC installed does not perform as the intended description depicts. First thing The unit they sent does not have any model number one the unit. Simply has the PAC logo with no (LD-10) like in the pictures on the listing. Second the RCA wire colors are not the same as the item depicted. I am not sure if this is a earlier version. I purchased the PAC LD-10 to help remedy a ground loop issue that I have not been able to trace down. I have tied every type of ground solutions ( Common Grounds, isolated ground, shielded balanced RCA, unbalanced twisted pair, grounding head unit with amplifiers). They only ground I have not performed is direct ground to the battery. I purchased 2 PAC LD-10 for my amplified front and rear channels. these ... Once installed I re-energized the system and turned my car on. It made speaker blowing screech that lasted 30 seconds or so before blipping into the normal audio range with no fix of intended problem. I thought maybe I should hook this up to direct 12 volt source ( maybe the capacitors charging is where the noise comes from). This too did the same start up scream. I did not have this before the PAC LD-10 was installed. Just a little engine hum. I tried to cut the loops internally as described in the manual. No change. In fact it did nothing beneficial to the audio signal. I would not recommend this product or maybe the supplier as my delivered item does not appear identical to the listing. I also question if this is a real PAC product as I have other PAC products in the same vehicle with no problems ever like this.

I do not like having volume knobs at 100% in my audio system, because that means I can't turn things up if needed. Well, the amplifier I recently got for Christmas didn't like the weak signal it was given. This line driver fixed it right up - so much that I now keep the volume knob below 50%! That means I finally have some much needed leeway. What's even better, it only draws about 5-10mA in its default configuration (I didn't change the settings). I'd say that's a total win. I got this line driver for $13 and free shipping... it's so worth it! Great for levelling up a Bluetooth adaptor
Worked perfectly to boost a Bluetooth adaptor so that the audio level matched that of the radio and CD. I had previously tried something similar from a different manufacturer but that unit would not boost the levels as high as the LD-10 and it also introduced noise whereas the LD-10 does not. All in all a very good solution if you need a quality preamp signal boost
