I was skeptical at first in buying the Arlo Pro 2 for outdoor camera. I did read some very good review and some concerns about battery life. Signup has very easy and pairing to the base was very easy. Battery life will tend to be less than expected on a full charge my battery lasted over 2 weeks only. I ended up buying the cable to plug into the outlets and now I don't have to worry anymore about charging the battery cameras very reliable and picture is clear. I did have a problem with night vision on one of the cameras. Arlo tried to troubleshoot it did not work so the camera was sent back and I got a new one within one week. Highly recommend this product as it is quite reliable and not much money invested in security.

The Seller shipped the item on time and with original packaging - no issue there. The problem is with Arlo. When we went to expand our system with this purchase, Arlo blocked the activation of the new cameras unless we signed up for a monthly plan. So even though we've purchased the system, we still can only use a portion of it due to Arlo's aggressive attempts to sign us up for a monthly fee. Everytime you log on to check the status - up pops a subscription sign-up screen. No option to block it after declining. Want to activate those new cameras you just bought...sign up for an Arlo plan. No, I don't need 4k video storage options, no, I don't want 2k video storage options - I just want the same Basic plan - 1 week of stored footage. It's not a remote property, it's my home so I would be aware of a problems within a week (or less) of something happening. Also, the Arlo 2 cameras - decent resolution in daytime. At night, the resolution seems to fall quite a bit. We tested the cameras by looking at them at night and the features were blurry. Most intruders will not be so cooperative to look at the camera and wait for the full resolution to kick in. A very small improvement over the original Arlo cameras we already had but pricier. The phone app constantly sends alerts with an option to mute them but only for 24 hours at a time - then they start up again. I don't want a constant stream of text messages throughout the day because my dog walks across the yard. I DO want the motion that triggered the alert to be recorded - I can always delete it later. It would be nice to be able to set the alert parameters - for example, the front door camera - that would be nice to receive alerts as false positives are not too likely. But the other cameras send a steady stream of messages interfering with my work. Again, this is not an issue with the Seller, but with Arlo. They can update both their model app and their web app to make them more useful and to remove the hard sell efforts. Bottom line - OK cameras, but Arlo's aggressive, intrusive attempts to sign us up for an unwanted monthly subscription means I would not recommend this product until that policy changes. Either sell the product or lease it, but don't charge a premium price and then constantly try to charge a recurring additional amount.Read full review

Great camera and very clear picture. The two way audio is also a nice feature. Strongly recommend.

I bought these cameras to install around the house. The batteries did go down really quick so I adjusted the sensitivity to 25 % and still the charge went down too quickly. Finally adjusted the sensitivity to 1 % with no microphone or speaker turned on. Charged the batteries to 100 % but still the batteries inside the cameras went down within 3 days to nothing. I ordered two solar panels to avoid from charging the batteries and the solar chargers drained the batteries from 100 % to 10 %. I returned them. I read many reviews about how these batteries last 5 to 6 months. I do not think so. The round magnetic base holders that come with the cameras are about the only ones I can use if I hook up the camera to a wall electrical socket. I ordered two 20 foot extensions to connect the camera to electricity and both were only 16 feet. I sent them back and ordered from another company a 20 foot extension and again received a 16 footer. The four camera 's came with only one charger and I had bought the fifth camera and that one also came with a charger. The video is great and the colors are fantastic on these cameras but I guess the only thing that is not so good is that you really have to connect these cameras to an electrical outlet to get a good setup. Once connected to electricity you do not need to use the batteries. Overall I think these cameras are the best in wireless cameras but if I knew I was going to have to go through all this trouble I would have preferred to go with wired cameras.Read full review

Arlo security system is great and having a base station included, means you don't have to pay for cloud storage. The solar panels are a great addition. I like Arlo because it puts things in your hands; excellent visuals and alerts, no monthly fees, and easy setup (youtube has step by step instructions).. I already have an Arlo system on another home and have this purchase on my current residence. I have recommended this system to friends and co-workers.
