I got open box and like new,but it actually had a major computer malfunction. Power button doesnt work, it literally wont turn off unless unplugged. It does a bunch of other weird crap too but I managed to get it to work consistently. I use for cast iron and its essential to my daily life because I barely have money to eat so have to stretch my money, only way to truly do so is cook my own meals and this has been essential for that. For $40 it was a good deal, it is well made and this heats cast iron instantly rather than other options, which is a gas burner. The cheap metal ones and griddle tops and anything but this or a gas grill can't heat up cast iron where it is actually useful. This is instant, and gets high enough to add seasoning layers at least to surface of iron, crucial and works great for iron. this with air fryer has me eating. Read full review

Didn't expect it to be as powerful as it is, even on mid setting it's boiling water. I bought it for several reasons, first we live in South Florida and when a hurricane comes along an knocks out power it's an easy appliance to power with a generator. Another reason is it is more economical than running our stove, even though it is a new stove, this is more energy efficient. Only downside is the fan noise, it does make a fan noise similar to a overhead exhaust hood which is not horrible but in my opinion engineering could have reduced it to nothing. So far I am very satisfied with the purchase and have recommended it to friends.

This is exactly what I was wanting. I live with my daughter in the basement. I wanted some way to cook for myself without making her worry about a fire. If the pan is not on the burner the burner shuts off. Love it so much I bought a 2nd one.
