all hardware included for camera install except wire splice connectors. The only thing missing is a paper template, if you want to get your mounting alignment perfect. Simple enough to cut your own out, for that OEM professional look. You may also want to apply some clear silicone sealant to the base before installing - more to keep dirt out from washing the car. Forcasted heavy rains this weekend, will repost if camera fogs up.

This camera is designed to hang under a horizontal panel. Specifically, that means the threaded portion is supposed to install straight up. The picture I see in Ebay shows the camera upside down, with the screw down. A previous review said he disassembled it and changed that, but when I took mine apart, the camera module was glued in place. The glue is a good thing for being waterproof, not so good if you want to change the orientation. I wanted to use this on the vertical surface of a truck tailgate. It won't work. I'm keeping it because it was low cost and a good camera, I can probably use it elsewhere.

this camera was a great value for the low price, and includes everything for install even a drill bit. the only complaint i have is low light or night use, the video is dark and fuzzy but still useful. i may try brighter led backup bulbs, but factory backup lights and this camera are not ideal. overall i'd recommend this item for its looks and price.

I purchased one from EBay. It seems to be a solid assembly. The camera is orientated to be installed on a horizontal surface. I did disassembled it, rotated the camera and board assembly 180 and reassembled so I could use it on the tailgate of my truck. The wires are long enough to reach from the handle out the bottom of the tailgate on my 2009 F150.

I installed this on a 2011 KIA Sportage. The camera was installed on the bottom edge of the lift gate about one (1) foot off center, because of existing latch. The only problem I had was that the surface that it was mounting on is not exactly level. The surface actually is angled downward a bit. It then effected the camera view, only allowing for a very low viewing distance of about 5' behind the vehicle Thus I had to install a home made wedge between the camera and the mounting surface to allow the camera lens to focus straight back. The camera has been thru several rain storms and a car wash station. It continues to provide an excellent view. The only thing I would change would be the length of the threaded mount. It needs to be about 1/4" longer in order to install a wedge (if needed) and still have enough threads to EASILY install the locking nut.Read full review
