This tool cannot compress the door spring enough to install it in the door. The reason is that the tool bends outward at the nut to compress the tool is tightened. The metal it is made of is too weak to do the job. The only way to remedy this is to reinforce the tool with thicker metal. So it is a waste of time purchasing this tool.

Door spring compressor
No slip no problem spring compressor. Put it on the spring, tightened with a wrench, took spring off. Well made of heavy material with a good finish. It made a potentially difficult job easy and simple. A must have.
