Pros - Dyson make a great product. They REALLY suck! This is my second one. The 5 year warranty is awsome and plenty of tools. Cons - No on board tool storage and tough to do stairs, as you have to carry the machine up the stairs. Not very good for cleaning cars. Also, make sure you buy from certified Dyson seller or Dyson will not honor 5 year warranty. You need to register your machine at Dyson.

This was our fourth Dyson product, and our Dyson Vacuum. Previously we had the DC41 upgright, and the DC39 canister. Pros: (1) Strong suction that truly doesn't diminish. (2) No filter design Cons: (1) Significantly heavier than the model it replaced, the DC41, with significantly reduced air amps i.e. suction strength from 240 to 180. (2) Left side of big ball rubs against central housing and appears warped. I checked out several store models and this appears to be consistent. (3) Whereas HEPA filter housing was previously in place with a self torquing hand turned purple cover, it now requires crude philips screws that can easily strip, with no torque limit, another indication that quality and attention to detail have gone down (4) Vacuum motorhead wheels make an annoying squeaking sound when pushed forward and backward. This was not the case with our previous DC41, and many reviews speak of the same issue (5) The canister handle seems flimsy, creaks, and feels like it is going to snap.
