Almost immediately after pulling the tv out of the box you can see why a 1080p 42inch would cost you under $400. It looks kind of cheap and is thick. But as soon as you turn it on and play a movie at 1080p its ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I was surprised to discover how light it was and the screen is absolutely flawless and i still can't believe the picture quality of this tv. It comes very close to my Samsung Smart TV, it's definitely on the same level. Well worth the money plus it has Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, etc., so that's always a plus. The graphics interface of this tv is a little bit amateurish and it doesn't look well designed but hey... it works. All the applications run just fine, wifi connects quickly and DLNA is a little bit disorganized and strange (still figuring out how to work all the features) but for the price i paid, I AM HIGHLY SATISFIED. Probably the best $400 i've spent in my life :) If you're thinking about getting this tv, don't think anymore, just trust me go for it!Read full review
I am very happy with my purchase of this Vizio TV. I especially like the "smart" feature that allows us to use Netflix, Hulu, etc. directly from the TV. Before this, we had used Roku to access those additions. The picture is clear and sharp, the colors are gorgeous. I happen to like the 42" screen as it is the perfect size for my large living room. My only complaint is the remote control is small and difficult to see, but it is a small complaint, compared with my satisfaction with the TV in general.
This is the second Vizio TV I have purchased. The first one was the XVT series. The strongest selling point is the value. I found the technical abilities for the price was the best out there. While the more expensive TVs may offer more automated features and connection features, Vizio seems to have blended the best in a solid design. Since the unit is plug-and-play, I recommend to go the extra mile to optimize the picture for your viewing situation and image provider. Once that is completed the quality of the picture is outstanding.
So far very happy, good sharp picture, it was easy to setup…I would purchase this item again
