Pros: -Price. Can get gently lightly used for around $100, new for around $200 depending on seller. -Resolution/Screen. Very nice 1080 HD resolution. Tablet is easy on the eyes for hours of watching movies, reading, or social media. -Cameras. Similar devices, such as the RCA Pro 10 tablet, sport cameras at lower resolutions, sometimes by more than half. 5 MP is sufficient for most everyday situations, and to be expected of a mid-range tablet. -Size. The tablet is less than a half inch thick and of the appropriate weight for it's size. If you buy a case with a kickstand, it's a very convenient device for everyday activities. -Android 4.1 While not the latest operating system, it's still sufficient to run all the apps offered on the Play store. -Power/hardware. The device sports a 1.2 Ghz processor and 1 GB of RAM. This is more than sufficient for everyday activities, and just enough power for those of us that do a little bit of photo work. It also has GPS, handy for travel. A micro HDMI port is also included, very handy for showing off those videos on the big screen. -Battery life. The battery lasts and lasts. I went 6 hours with normal use and still had 32 percent battery left. The description promised up to 8.5 hours. At this rate, I was right on par with that. Cons: -No flash on the camera. This is not a huge loss, but you may find it challenging to get good pictures in low light situations. This loss is not worth an extra $100-200 to me. -Android 4.1. While this is still a great OS, Asus has the resources to offer 4.4 for the device. Since this device is still very popular, it would be great PR to offer a 4.4 update. I hope they do, at least for the sake of security. -Hardware. This tablet does not have radio. Not really a big loss since you can stream almost every radio station online anymore. But this may upset a few people who still want to hear their local station over the airwaves. Also, the tablet's processor is slower than that of other tablets in the neighborhood. For example, RCA's 10 inch has a 1.5 Ghz processor. The difference will be negligible to the average user though since both feature 1 GB of RAM.Read full review
I bought this for a friend who has memory issues. He dropped his identical unit, which he had become comfortable with. It sustained enough damage that a used unit made more sense than repairs. He is delighted with the new one, no new learning curve! Tablet, while not cosmetically perfect, works like a new one.

5/5 over all. Fast sale & ship. Tablet is VERY high quality. I only found one small un-noticeable scratch on the screen. CanadaPost unexpectedly delivered this on a Sunday, and even better, no COD! It is super-fast... It takes long for initial charge but the battery is VERY long lasting. I've only used the reset pinhole once, because I was overloading the system on a low battery (was too excited to play with it, I installed 50 apps on 9% power hahaha! THIS OWNS ALL TABLETS & IPADS!!!
I bought the Asus Memopad to replace one that I dropped and broke. I had used the first one for about a year and was very impressed with its performance. It was lightning fast surfing the web. It is very useful for someone who needs access to many pdf files during the day. The screen resolution is excellent even when images are enlarged. The front and rear cameras have very fine resoluton. Battery life is good. I could probably go for two days if I turned it off during the day when I am not using it, but I leave it on standby and charge the battery each night. I have only two complaints and they are minor to me. The Android operating system is not compatible with Adobe flash player. The second is that the on/off button sometimes will not boot up the device and I have to insert a paperclip in the reset hole. Overall, I rate this Asus tablet as an excellent value. The deal I got on Ebay was outstanding.Read full review
I bought a refurb and it was even better than described. Not a scratch on it. Performs great and I got it at a great price. Speakers very loud with several listening modes geared for music or movies and more, and in true stereo! Nvidia processor very quick even with only one Gig of RAM. Occasionally gets a little hung up when skimming through facebook but catches up fairly quick. Over all performance is much better than expected for such a low price. Didn't want to spent the big bucks for a Galaxy or an iPad. Very happy with the ASUS MeMo.
