Downloaded manual off Breville website. Set up as directed. Then began enjoying the Kcup brews. The My Kcup is a little more challenging. The wire mesh filter allows a lot of sediment into the cup of coffee. Also, its not real easy to extract the used grounds from the filter. I may try insert one of the paper filters that are available. I am happy with the machine.

It has a scuff mark on the stainless steel and the coffee has a really weird taste! I’ve tried to clean it using white distilled vinegar, but with no success. I’m very disappointed!

I bought this particular one cup coffee maker because I wanted one with multiple strength settings and one that had good reviews from customers. So after checking out what was out there in this price range or cheaper, I picked the Breville. I like this coffee maker. It's well made and easy to use. I really do wish though that the coffee wasn't so strong! Even though it has several settings for coffee strength, I still have to dilute it way down. I like strong coffee but not that strong! :o) Even though I have to play with strength of the coffee I still recommend the coffee maker. It looks good on my counter, it's easy to use, there are many different types of coffees, teas, and hot cocoa pods, and it's well made! I have purchased other one cup makers and the Breville is much better. This is a good one!!Read full review
I first became a fan of Breville when I got one of their blenders. I loved it so much that I ended up getting their Burr Grinder. The motor on both of these machines is what I like so much. You can tell there is real POWER behind it. I then wanted a single-cup coffee machine and did not even realize that Breville made one of these. I read tons of reviews and based on my own positive experience with my other 2 Breville machines, I decided to go for it. I have NOT been disappointed. The multi-size cup option is wonderful and since it takes a few moments to heat up the water, your coffee is actually "steaming hot" once prepared. (warm coffee isn't too appealing) I love the fact that it came with a K-cup filter, so you have the option of filling it with your own favorite coffee flavors instead of being forced to purchase the expensive pre-filled ones. The design is very clean and the unit is easy to use/clean. (no itty-bitty parts) Just a side note: the machine has a large footprint, so if you have limited counter space this beast takes up a lot of room. Also, Breville is proud of their products and makes you pay for it. But then again, I think they're probably worth it. I really love this unit and using a coffee blend that I mixup, my morning cup of java is better than anything I've tasted elsewhere.Read full review
I looked at both the Keurig and the Breville coffee makers that use the K-cup technology. After watching both in action at Bed,Bath and Beyond I decided the features in the Breville were worth the extra investment. The water filtration and large reservoir capacity is great with guests. It also comes with an onboard my k-cup built into a holder in the lid. No lost filters that way. The menu driven options for temp, brew size and timing are great features. I would not go back to a standard type coffee maker for anything. The varieties of coffees, teas, etc. are amazing.
