The only surprise was the lack of a switched 110v outlet on the unit. At first I thought it would be a problem but the wide array of features on this receiver allowed me to eliminate the need I had for the outlet. So far the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi haven't been needed since I have the unit wired directly to the router. Controlling the receiver from a web browser and iPad has greatly reduced the complexity of my AV systems. You can enter the IP address of the unit in a browser and control the receiver without installing any software. Using Airplay with ITunes, Amazon Music or Windows Media Player has worked very well. The unit is about half the weight of my old Yamaha receiver but so far the quality appears to be solid and the integration options are a great addition. It has been installed for a week and I have no regrets about replacing my older Yamaha so far.Read full review

This unit was to replace a high end legacy unit. I was very impressed with just how well this unit performed. Fantastic frequency response, very good bass response and highly adjustable. I've used all 5 HDMI options without a single issue. Great 1080P passthru and upscale options. I do find the volume going higher, due to the wattage difference, but I haven't heard any distortion around -17 thur -10. Very Happy

Sounds great and works nicely with our new 4K Samsung TV, the picture is MUCH better after getting a 4K receiver. The only problem we've noticed is that sometimes there is a delay in displaying the video to our TV, like a 5 second pause, but then it works great.
