The LG Gtab F 8.0 is a great tablet and AT&T was smart to add it to its lineup. The 4g (and 3g) are very fast and work well everywhere. Battery life is really good and the tablet is snappy and easy to deal with. AT&T has loaded it with their bloatware and BS. The AT&T mail program is especially onerous. It wants you to sign into it with your google ID so they have access to your email account... Else the tablet threatens to delete all email accounts on the tablet. Im figuring that its harvesting profile information (not as badly as Verizon) for advertizement purposes. The best course of action is to root the tablet and to delete the bloatware before using your accounts and then run the tablet. No more rubbish in the way. Androids built in mail client or Thunderbird work well. The tablet is faster without all the junk in it and much more empty for adding the useful stuff. This unit has no bad quirks or problems. Its operation is smooth and not buggy. I use it for business so I work it hard. The camera has few settings but on automatic its a fabulous camera. Some complain there is no flash but you really dont need it. The camera has good low light performance and does automatic macro well for catching a label or bar code accurately the first time in less than ideal light. Video shooting goes much better with a class 10 micro SD card. Use the card up to 64g for video. Internally you will run out too soon for any serious event like graduation or wedding with the internal memory. I suggest Samsung Sandisk Toshiba Hitachi memory cards because they are primary manufacturers of flash memory. Most other brands have to buy flash chips and package them in their wrapper. Those brands are very careful not to sully their good name. This tablet will perform best with one of their class 10 or UH1 micro SD cards. The battery on this unit is very strong. Even under heavy use it holds up well. This tablet did not cheap on the wifi chips. It supports 2.4 and 5.8 both in G and N settings and will mate well with your AC router. The Tmobile version has texting like a phone. The difference is just adding the software (or APK) and making the proper APN settings for it. So this ATT unit will do it with a little coaxing.Read full review
