I'm not always against refurbished items, but some things I like to buy new. I've got three other upright Dyson vacuums and they are still working like the day I got them, 6 years ago. Figured I needed a reliable portable option for some things, and decided why not give it a shot. First off, it looks brand new, so that's good. Second, it works just as well as the floor models I had checked out before at the store. We have 3 indoor cats that shed a decent amount and I let the fur build up for a couple days in an area in the living room (I normally don't) and gave it a go. My wife loves that it's small and still powerful. It is absolutely a great deal on an awesome product and I will buy another Dyson when the time comes. If a great deal pops up on a refurb, I'll pick it up, but I have no regrets ever buying new or used from this company. There are many competitors but only one champion.Read full review

Works well, powerful. Very seldom have need to resort to the ultra setting. One drawback was the trigger, which seems to have been designed with torture in mind. I rapidly set to work modifying it, but I can't see most people troubling to do that. Otherwise using a glove on your action hand will ameliorate wounded finger syndrome. Also used the Shark version of this, which seemed clunky by comparison.

I've wasted a lot of money on sub-par vacuums with poor suction and bad batteries on portables. Dyson is easy to use, easy to clean, easy to empty the canister, and you can replace the battery on the handhelds, unlike the Black and Decker ones which needs a complete replacement. I own the DC35 and the upright DC33. Highly recommended. Save money on Dyson on eBay, Black Friday sales, or refurbished ones. It's worth the money.

I love it and use it every day my truck is clean enough to eat off the floors and not easy to say being a team truck with 3 road dogs that she'd everywhere. I would recommend this to any trucker who has pets, top of the line product hands down.

I’ve never had a Dyson anything before, but I took a chance on this one. It’s okay — not great, but okay. On the good side it looks like it’s brand new, no dents or scratches, no evidence of any previous use at all. Everything that was advertised was there, both of the attachments, the power cord, the instructions . . . everything. And it works okay, I guess. There are a couple of negatives, though. First is the trigger switch. To make the thing run you’ve got to hold the trigger all the way back and maintain some pressure on it or it’ll quit. That’s no big deal, I suppose (the thing only runs for a few minutes anyway), but it does get a little tiresome having to squeeze it pretty hard all the time or it shuts down. The other thing is that it doesn’t have much suck power. I’m not asking it to pick up a bowling ball, but it really should suck a little harder than it does if it wants to call itself a vacuum. It’s exasperating when you’re trying to pick up some lint behind the dryer and, unless you’ve got the little sucker right on top of of the stuff you might as well be waving it goodbye. That’s about it, I suppose. Oh, except that I paid too much money for something that really doesn’t work all that well.Read full review
