I purchased a refurb model from Newegg and this thing is flawless. No blemishes I have found on this one. Though the packaging had me a little apprehensive on the condition I would find it in, it arrived in as new condition. It states it has a digital output for sound which it does not. Only the headphone out. Though it can only receive a digital sound signal via the HDMI inputs the output is analog stereo. It is still a nice feature to be able to control the sound source through the screen if needed. Maybe this would matter more if there were a remote. I would have really liked a truly digital spdif coax or fiber optic out to pass through multi-channel signals via the source but alas this is not so. No built in crappy speakers but that gives you the beauty of the slimmed down design. I really like the behind the screen control button found on the rear lower right of the unit as it is really easy to use (with just 2 fingers access every option and control easily first time) and keeps the front bezel nice thin and uncluttered. This monitor would be a perfect option for a multi-screen surround setup. The lack of built in speakers is a plus for this as well. This is a 60hz max refresh monitor. I couldn't find any documentation when I was researching the monitor but I pretty much figured since it was lacking in any description and the cost was low this would be the case. Thus the 4 star picture rating I give it. It does have a fast response time and looks super crisp and clear. They did not skimp on the built in options to adjust your viewing preferences. All around this thing has an awesome picture and it's really easy to use. Super light yet doesn't feel or look cheap and the multiple source input means it has a little more versatility than just being strictly a PC monitor. Overall very good value for the money. I may be buying 2 more real soon if this deal holds out.Read full review
I love this monitor. It's a great deal and the picture quality is sharp. Color reproduction is close to my retina display. The borders are relatively thin which makes the screen feel more in focus. The size is great and the monitor is very thin and light. Overall 10/10. For the $120 I paid for it, well worth the money! I have audio going from my laptop through HDMI and coming out to my 2.1 speakers via the Line Out jack, so I have one fewer cable to disconnect when I take my laptop with me. This monitor does not have internal speakers and this is a good thing because it keeps the profile even slimmer and built-in speakers are ALWAYS crappy so I'd rather save some money by doing away with them and spending $25 on decent external speakers with subwoofer.
I bought two of these monitors refurbished. Saved about $200 and I'm glad I did! Pros from my experience: no dead pixels, sturdy enough bases, and great viewing angles. Cons, not height adjustable, color adjustment is a little strange (my monitors don't quite match 1:1), and I personally don't like the one button this monitor uses for all its functionality. I've been using a Vizio TV for several years as a monitor because I didn't want to spent the money on a single monitor and two was way to expensive. As you might imagine, these blow a TV out of the water.
I have had this monitor for a couple months now and I am in love. Even though it is refurbished, it looks and runs like it is brand new. I bought it to use along side my late 2013 Macbook Pro and it works great. I use it for a lot of picture and video editing for college and the picture is incredibly detailed. I also use it for gaming very frequently and the Game mode it has really makes the picture more vibrant with games. Do not pass up this deal!
Monitors where exactly what I ordered, picture quality is excellent and for the price I couldn't asked for more. Shipping was fast, I will order again from this company!
