On a Caribbean cruise as I write this and have used this camera for underwater, beach, wide angle photography and it is a perfect travel companion. Seeing the results in Lightroom confirmed the image quality.

I expected this camera to be better than my 5mp Pentax from 12 yrs ago. As far as resolution and ability to edit zoom, it is not real impressive. The function controls are excellent. It may be all you can expect for small sensor camera.

Overall the camera has performed well after about 1 month of use. I would give it a three and one half if I could. It is easy to use and takes good pictures for a point and shoot. I use it every day and take 30 to 100 pictures. I use the USB cable to transfer pictures to my Windows 8.1 tablet. I wish the WiFi would do that. One reason I got this camera was that it is WiFi enabled. I was disappointed to find it will not communicate with a PC, only iOS and Android devices. I am an inspector and I take the camera into dirty dusty environments (under houses and into attics) so I like that there is no external moving lens parts. I keep it in my pocket and the USB access port pops open from time to time on its own. It should have a better latching mechanism. I am afraid I will loose the lens ring. I guess it is nice to be able to attach accessory lenses but I never will. The lens ring also comes loose in my pocket from time to time. It should snap into place more securely. Taking it in and out of my pocket I also find that the little dial that selects the mode moves so I have to keep resetting it to the mode I want to use. The good part about that is it is easy to scroll through the many available preset modes. It can also be manually controlled so one can fool around with that if you want to. I like that it can take a pretty good picture in low light environments without a flash. Over all it has been good for my needs and I am not sure there is anything in the toughened class of point and shoot cameras that is better.Read full review

One of my favourite line of Olympus products are the TOUGH product line. It is sad to learn that they are discontinuing the Tough TG-Tracker from their production, but I'm glad I got my hand on one before that happened. I use it mostly for my motorcycle rides, to monitor the street riding situation in New York City. Otherwise, my plan was to use this video camera for my diving use also. I also own the TG-4 which is also an amazing product. I really like how lightweight the product is, and I used to use the camera a lot for diving with the waterproof diving container. Overall, I trust the Olympus TOUGH line, and would love to continue using them for my adventure needs.

I went diving with the Sealife 1400 and this camera. The image quality especially the speed of getting that shot is way better with the TG-4. I missed som many shots with the Sealife as I was trying to get a moving diver. That delay made me so frustrated... And I haven't even used the housing on the TG-4. Now I have the full rig and I am planning to test it pretty soon.
