There is a contingent of watch snobbery out there that will say that the ETA 2824 movement is not a Heuer "in house" movement--and that this therefore isn't a "real" TAG Heuer. However--take it from a guy who has a nice vintage Rolex retired in the safe. This Aquaracer is an outstanding watch, the case and bracelet is super well made, and the bracelet is in fact better made than the bracelet on my 1970 Rolex Submariner. My Aquaracer has won my heart. It runs about +3 to +4 seconds per day (better than my Sub ever ran), and this watch can be serviced by any decent watch maker--it doesn't need to be "sent in" to an "authorized" TAG Heuer shop where you get reamed on a basic service a la the Bugatti oil change rip off ;) ...
