I ordered this on a whim, and am satisfied with the basic bow. The two things I am not thrilled about are the included bolts (seems like the draw over powers them and they are hit and miss for accuracy,) and the scope. I could not figure out how to mount the scope without permanently removing the iron sights. I have dialed in the sites and consistently am hitting my targets so no worries. As for the bolts I decided to purchase some walmart specials and they work well. the bow comes in 3-4 pieces and one has to string the bow. this requires some balance and muscle - be prepared to struggle if you don't have 4 hands :) If you don't have string or bridge lube - it is recommended. I am enjoying the bow.

At the least , an instruction or even an observation manual should have been.included. Stringing and cocking alternatives should have been offered? A BOX OF FIBER GLASS is not worth dime. I have modified this piece of DODO by drillng and modifying to a "Burnet" specs. I am a knife maker. This tool should be more adaptable to folks who can't or won't be able to act like they are 20 years old.

This crossbow, looks like it was made to hang for decoration and not use for hunting. The safety is a nightmare to use, it is extremely hard to move and requires more thumb strength than I have, I struggle with it constantly. It resets it self after every shot, so you have to constantly unlock it which is a nightmare. The bolts have are designed so the grooves for the strings do not catch well and the bow will dry fire due to that. The string is not being pulled from the center of the bow, rather than the top, making it rub extra hard against the stock and causing way too much friction, which will eat up the string. Whoever designed this bow, seems to have no idea of how a cross bow works. I had high hopes of using it for protection here on my ranch, but it is way too slow and difficult to use due to these problems I have mentioned above. If you want to use it to pretend you are a hunter and hang it on your wall, it will do the job. But, if you actually want to shoot this, hunt with it, or have target practice, forget it. It is purely for looks! TH scope is not worth even adding to the bow, since it is so cheap. Also, the sighting pin you use if you do not use the scope, falls out of the slot where it is supposed to be secure, so there is no way to even secure it, there is no way to even sight the bow on a target. This bow is a decoration piece and not a hunting or target bow.Read full review

Bought this for12 year old grandson and he loves it. This not a toy. My only complaint is that the string started to unravel after being fired twice.

Great little bow! These are our first ones we have owned. The bow itself packs quite a punch. This is not a toy. Never ever point it at someone. If they are close enough, they will be pierced. We're using these for casual target practice and for home defense. I doubt any perpetrator will stick around after getting pierced with a bolt. They will face an onslaught of self defense items just like Home Alone! For the cost, it's worth a try. The end tips are flimsy though. While you're at it, buy extra tips and bow string. You will eventually need them. Great little shooter and fairly accurate.
