The Barnett Raptor FX3 is a solid and well performing crossbow. I have used it now on three separate occasions and it has performed flawlessly. Dead accurate at 40 yards and still increasing yardage as I break it in. The scope is not super great but sufficient for use on a crossbow. I haven't been able to measure the fps but I don't think it is far from the listed range. Arrows are imbedding 1/2 to 2/3 into a 400 fps rated target. Although I have yet to hunt with it, I feel it is a fully acceptable crossbow for hunting deer out to 40 yards and probably more. There really isn't anything I don't like about this crossbow.

Very accurate for a budget crossbow. Had an original Raptor a few years ago and it was very good. Upgraded to this Raptor FX3, but it has a few issues. Quiver is very hard to get arrows in and out of, and the mounting bracket broke on the first day. The scope was not mounted straight. The cams are tilted and not aligned with the string. Barnett wants me to send it to them but I would be without it for 3 weeks and hunting season just started.

Got the basic FX3 on ebay at a great price! It is mostly pre-assembled and only requires one step to finish. The construction seems solid and it works great at 50yrds and beyond. It is small and lightweight. In fact it will likely be too small for most larger males (the stock and scope in combination will be too close together). I had to put the scope as far to the front as possible and the stock as far to the back as possible in order for it to be comfortable for me and I am only 150lbs and 5ft9in. It is easy for me to cock but my daughter who is smaller than me could not. Very little recoil and acceptable noise. Does not come with any silencers. Carbon bolts are consistent and don't bend easy. Would buy again. I already bought two!

This is a great 350 FPS bow that is narrow, well balanced and is a good looking camo pattern. Bought the FX3 for 20% off on Labour day sale after watching prices of a few similar bows. Was a deal that couldn’t be passed by. Setup was quick and easy-single bolt. Scope is good but never tried it as I had a Nikon Bolt XR, which is superior. Third shot was dead centre from 31 yards after adjusting first two at 20 yards. Looking forward to more target shooting and getting out deer hunting.

I've shot the x-bow for a couple days now and the thing is awesome. Had a few small issues but nothing I'm worried about. Took a little sighting in, but got it to hitting great now with descent broadheads. I'm hitting from 30yds in with first crosshair, 40ish with second, and fifty with 3rd crosshair. I couldn't find anything as fast as this bow at this price range. The bow is a little loud, but I've heard other x-bows just as loud. So far happy with the x-bow, and still didn't break the bank. The bow will get me some deer meat in the near future! Hopefully a hog too.
