This was my first crossbow that I have ever purchased. I am an avid hunter and had a bad season in western NC in 2016 during gun season but was seeing deer like crazy during bow season. I did my research for months on bows from compound to crossbow. I didn't know how I would like bow hunting because I love guns and thought bows were not something I would enjoy. Assembling the cross bow was super easy realisticly all I had to do was mount the step hook and scope o ordered a 90* handle to make it more like my AR while aiming. The first time I fired it I was expecting some kind of buck or recoil so I yanked it and lost the first bolt. I used my lead sled on the second shot to be able to sight it in properly I did as the owners manual said and started at 20yrds. Aimed at a piece of cardboard a bail of hay, a fabric cloth and another piece of plastic board(looks like cardboard but is plastic) I released the bolt and never saw it. It hit 3" low and 6" to the right it blow through the target and another 100yrds across my field into the woods and never seen again. I managed to set up a target to stop the last bolt and sighted her in. This bow went over and above my expectations it has a bit of weight to her but handles very well. The bolts move lightning fast no matter what your using. The factory bolts were about 370gr with the tip at 100gr I'm running 470gr now for knock down power and the speed it crazy. The bow looks very intimidating and the finish looks way better in person has texture that makes it seem very tough. With just target shooting done so far I'm already excited for turkey season and the next deer season. I'll have an extra almost 2 months to hunt and won't scare the animals with a bunch of noise. I hunt my own property that I live on and so scaring to deer away is a real problem. Bear did a very good job with this bow in my opinion.Read full review

This thing far exceeded my expectations, I have pellet guns with more shock/vibration than this. Once you sight in at 20 yd then step back to 30 and dial in the speed comp scope you're set, I was skeptical but stepped back to 70 and was just shy a bullseye. The ease of adjustment and ability to set up for your exact presence is unseen on most crossbows. One downside I tried luminocs and the string slipped around and string came off cams, due to shape was hard getting into a press that could close down that narrow but for reference use nocks with well defined grooves and avoid that battle all together. Amazing crossbow, would deff recommend to anyone.

This is a large crossbow and is fairly heavy, but if you're OK with that it is awesome. It shoots extremely smoothly, and is very accurate. It also has no problems hitting at 100 yards with the included scope.

I have owned this bow since Bear first introduced it . I usually hunt from a elevated stand , two weeks ago I had two bucks come across one of the shooting lanes approx. 35 yards away , The first buck took me by surprise and soon was in heavy cover , as luck would have it a second buck came into view and gave me a great shot . The heavy six pointer ran only 25 yards before expiring . I was impressed with the accuracy and amazing kill power of this bow. Thanks' BEAR !!!
