    Works like a charm

    Five years ago, I had the voltage regulator replaced by the local JD Dealership. Cost $250 for tractor pickup, diagnostics, parts, labor and delivery. This time when the battery light stayed lit, I decided to fix it myself and saved $200. Internet video showed how simple it was. Took about 5 minutes to do the actual replacement.

    Nothing Runs Like a Deere

    This voltage regulator saved the day. Installed it in 10 minutes and it delivers 14.2 volts for charging the battery on my John Deere lawn tractor. It has a large heat sink so it should last for many years.

    Wires too short on mower

    needs to have at least one extra long wire. You can bend the first one and pull on the wire with pliers to force it. So called JD authorized replacement.
