At first I was a little disappointed when placing the camera on the tripod .. slips slowly without holding the position until I found the screw (right at the base of the stick to position the camera) that fits and holds it firm. It was cool to use at the beach .. You can attach it outside the car, the woods (not stouts) or just bend the pins and hang it from a branch. It's great not to juggle to balance the camera and take a shot.

Nice tripod. Light, reliable and versatile. If your camcorder is too heavy, it may move slightly due to the weight. But it can be fixed tightening the nut.
