- DAC section and remote is in perfect working order. However, I believe this M51 has an HDMI video ...DAC section and remote is in perfect working order. However, I believe this M51 has an HDMI video output that is not working...shows a black fuzzy screen with lines...I called NAD and technical support said that the HDMI video output is a direct pass-through & my DVD player may be bad. I don't know. There is a repair sticker on the bottom of the unit indicating that the unit has been previously repaired by a technician (previous owner)...and the HDMI video output may be not working. The good news is that I had this M51 in my 2 channel audio system (using the optical and coaxial inputs and xlr out) and it sounds really nice as all the reviews say! When I used this M51 in my system there was no audible noise from either audio channel or anything else of the sort. I'm taking into consideration the HDMI video output mystery (as mentioned above) when pricing this DAC...if you don't need the HDMI video output and only use a 2 channel playback system, this will be a great deal for you!
