These older manual 200mm macro/micro lenses are currently a good value vs the cost of the autofocus successor. I have the 105 micro also but this allows you some working room to be farther back from your subject, which may be a wasp or snake. Extra distance also allows you more room for lighting apparatus. The lack of autofocus is not such a concern to me as I almost always tweak focus manually for closeup shots.

Would recommend, sharper than current nikon. If autofocus isnt needed I would strongly recommend!

I owned a Nikkor 200mm f4 before but sold it. A year later I am buying another. When it arrived I was pleased to find out this copy was in excellent condition. It even seams a little sharper than my last copy. It arrived on time and was safely packaged. I have only taken a few shots with it but plan to give it a good workout soon.

Great Old lens, works great on my Nikon D810. You do have to set up this lens as a non CPU lens with the D810. Shooting Appeture Priority it works Great!
