Played reed instruments 40 years ago in school and bought this on a lark. The tone is quite good and with practice should be fun.
More than a toy, it produces the sound of a small sax. Still getting used to the fingering compared to a regular clarinet or sax but it works quite similar. It does what it is intended to do, work as a prep instrument to see if you want to spend money to pursue the Sax or clarinet but you can also have fun making actual music on it. More so than a song flute or recorder.
