Small but very powerful camera with all the build in tools of my much bigger SLR. Takes excellent photos and videos. Took it on a trip to England and was so much easier to use and carry than my full size SLR. Pop up viewfinder is a great asset and gives you a clear view of what you are shooting. The moveable back video screen made taking pictures of Cathedral Ceilings real easy and worked great for selfies too. Depending on number of pictures and videos you shoot having extra batteries is a must. All in all I love this camera.

This camera takes great photos, even in difficult low light situations. Crystal clear pixels and great colors. Many reviews say the menu structure is difficult, but this is my first Sony camera and after a few hours of playing with it, I think its's very usable, even with all the many options. This is a US version camera so I was easily able to upgrade firmware to the latest. You'll be amazed at how great photos look coming out of this camera. The movie quality blows away broadcast 1080P quality - fantastic color and pixel quality. I haven't even tried the 4k video mode, the 2k mode is fantastic looking. Really cool slow mo capability that looks great and is fun to play with.

The camera fits into my jean pocket and yet it has all the features I wanted. The optical viewfinder is amazing, the exterior control knobs have the features I want. The menu is not as complicated as some people make it out to be. The image quality compares favorably with my Nikon D90. The zoom lens is amazing especially from f/3.5 and up, sharp edge to edge. Make sure you have an extra battery or two in your pocket, I get only about 80 shots with flash out of one battery charge. On the other hand, the lens goes wide open and in many cases the flash is not needed.

Overall, this is an awesome camera! I wanted something as close to a point and shoot as I could get that takes the very best photos possible, and this combines both options. I can keep it on auto and it takes great photos. I can dial in different options and get more specific shots. For example, I looked up astrophotography using this camera, and with just a little trial and error, was able to get some really amazing shots of the night sky. The quality of the photos is beautiful and that's what I was most looking for. The camera is on the expensive side, but I really researched out other options and kept coming back to this one. The zoom lens doesn't zoom as far as I'd like, but the photos are of such high quality that they can easily be cropped and still be high quality. It also feels like a good, solid camera. I haven't tried everything yet, but really like this camera and know I'll use it for as many years as it will last.Read full review

I love this camera, I take it with me everywhere, and it records full 1080p 60fps and also 4k at up to 30fps..they don't have the 4k 60fps yet in the RX series..hopefully 7 can do the unthinkable and create this.. It would be the first point and shoot, non action cam (ugly fish eye) to record in full 4k 60fps with a 1inch+ sensor.. That's a dream camera.
