Learning the new menu is a little difficult. You can touch the icon that show where you are to mark a place that you are at, then go back and name it if you want, or just delete it. That was the hardest thing for me to figure out. The logic is a little different, but hey, we can still learn, right, so it's not a big deal. The unit is thick and solid. I like the smaller size as it doesn't block my view the way the 7 inch models do. I like it so much I just ordered another one. The price is awesome for this kind of quality. The sleep feature makes for a quick re-boot the next day when you start your auto.I forgot to mention the seller shipped almost immediately and it showed up earlier than expected by about 2 days.

I liked the graphics and screen arrangement on my old XL which is no longer supported much better but this is OK and provides the same functions. The split screen screen is sort of distracting but you get used to it. Good value. Tom Tom should have a s deal so you can update to a newer model at a reduced price when they stop supporting a lifetime maps product, They are forcing you to upgrade a product that was advertised to be good for lifetime of that product. Otherwise their lifetime maps guarantee is worthless.

I like: 1. Lot of information on the screen which is not there in others 2. traffic information is very precise and a life saver, 3. putting address from smartphone or website is a great time saver 4. Rerouting is quite fast 5. Search is very efficient i.e. you can search for address and POI from same screen, very fast and effective 6. Side bar, which keeps on telling you the upcoming gas stations, traffic, incidents, police camera etc. Dislike: While searching on smartphone app, you can't confine your search to a city or state

I replaced a Via 1505 with this unit. This unit - slow startup, unable to adapt screen colors, no points of interest and not intuitive to use. However, prompt route changes without the " Reprogramming" route, sidebar info well thought out, and seemingly accurate. I am sure I will adapt to variations. HUGE BEEF- No warning that a smartphone is needed for traffic and some other functions. If I had a smartphone I would not need this unit as I would use the map feature on the phone. My Garmin unit, which will no longer be a backup, is going to be the primary unit as it has built in traffic feature.
