Homegirl knocked it right out of the ballpark on her long-awaited full-length solo debut! Lovingly produced by New Orleans mainstay Anders Osborne, Danielle's 'Wolf Den' is a powerful statement revealing her to be one of the best young practitioners of "old-school" blues and soul music on the contemporary scene today. KILLER set of pipes (her version of the Ann Peebles classic I Feel Like Breaking Up Somebody's Home just might eventually become the definitive one in due time, my goodness!), outstanding feel on the bass (natural southpaw, folks), and a budding songwriter in her own right, I say this lady should be given a lot more recognition than what she's been getting so far because the kind of musical talent she possesses is not always featured prominently in the mainstream these days and that is a crying shame. Congrats Ms. Schnebelen, you've earned yourself a fan FOR LIFE! ;-)Read full review
