In 1998 I've played 1602 A.D. game. Very good strategy game about discovery, economic, trade, war and more in the rennessaince age. 1702 A.D. it's third part of the game, now in full 3D graphics with shadered water. Developer's of the game - Sunflowers company, which were organizedin Germany in early 90x years and also was "Max Design". Max Design was rebranding to Sunflowers later. One of the first games made by Sunflowers - Burntime
Has all the elements you would want. First dicover your own land, build you civilazation, manage you peoples need will defend against pirate attacks. Once your self sustaining, train you troops to defeat the other civilations and conquer the world. But watch out at anytime a nataual diaster can happen and take out half your cities. Lots of fun and challanging for all ages. I highly recommend this game.
Fun play, but wish it was a bit more involved;military aspect is weak & hard to get to and as with all RPGs there are some lapses in logic;a nice diversion but still not THE game I seek.

Awesome Game They could not have come up with a better follow up to 1602 AD. The Gameplay is more detailed but the controls are all the same. I relly hope they keep the controls the same for the next game just come up with some new thins. I could not have asked for a better game after my purchase. This game is worth every penny. I give this game five stars and a gold star. Very highly recomended game. A must Have.
My boyfriend has been playing this game nonstop since he ripped it out of the package. He was like a kid on Christmas morning. I've seen him playing the game and it's pretty interesting. He's started over twice now so that tells me its not easy. if you have a good strategy and like lengthy games then i definitely recommend this one.
